On 5th August 2025, Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Rooma Mustaq Mattu paid a special visit to the residence of renowned social worker and minority leader Ilyas Gill to discuss the preparations for the upcoming National Minorities Day program scheduled for 11th August.
The meeting, which was organized and hosted by Ilyas Gill, aimed to bring together community voices, finalize key arrangements, and share the vision for a meaningful celebration of interfaith harmony, equality, and minority rights in Pakistan.
During her heartfelt interaction, Rooma Mustaq Mattu appreciated Ilyas Gill’s continued efforts for the empowerment and upliftment of minority communities, especially in District Malir. She expressed her firm commitment to the principles laid down by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, emphasizing the Pakistan Peoples Party’s dedication to protecting the rights and dignity of minorities.
